02Why flight sponsors
No travellers, no adoptions.
A family can only take in a cat from Zanzibar if the cat actually gets there. That is exactly where people who are flying home from Zanzibar anyway can help.
A real example: Chrissy was Paka's flight sponsor. Holidaymakers had fallen in love with Paka on Zanzibar, but he couldn't travel straight away. Once the preparations were done, Chrissy flew from Zanzibar to Germany and took Paka with her. That is how he got to his family.
That is exactly what a flight sponsor does: accompany an animal on its flight. Flight sponsors are what make real adoptions possible.

03How to get in touch
How it works.
It is always great when people offer themselves as flight sponsors. That way we have someone to work with once a cat has found a home.
1. You get in touch
Email us that you would like to offer yourself as a flight sponsor, and when you are flying from Zanzibar and where to.
2. Check with your airline
You check with your airline whether a cat may fly in the cabin. This is usually possible up to around 8 kg, otherwise transport in the hold is possible too.
3. No costs for you
All costs are covered by the person adopting the animal. You simply accompany the cat on its flight.
