01Our team
The people behind Rescue Paws and Zanzibar Animal Care.
Two organisations, one shared task: Rescue Paws of Zanzibar e. V. gathers support in Germany, the team of Zanzibar Animal Care cares for the animals on site every day.
02Rescue Paws of Zanzibar e. V.
The association in Germany.
Sina chairs the association. Together with the board, it organises donations, sponsorships and campaigns and keeps the community connected. We will introduce further board members here soon.
03On site on Zanzibar
Makame and Zanzibar Animal Care.
The work with the animals is done by our partner on site: Zanzibar Animal Care (Zacare), founded and led by Makame, a veterinarian with a huge heart for animals.
Zacare is an independent local organisation. Its team handles rescues, wound care, vaccinations, neutering and much more every day. Rescue Paws of Zanzibar supports this work from Germany.

04And many more
We couldn’t do it without them.
Volunteers
People who lend a hand on site, from feeding to veterinary help. Without them, much of this would not be possible.
Sponsors
Their contributions mainly cover the ongoing care of the animals. Every month they make sure food and care never run out.
Donors
Every donation brings the shelter with its veterinary clinic a step further. Many small contributions made what stands today possible.
