Many stray cats and dogs on Zanzibar suffer from untreated wounds, starvation and neglect. We help directly when an animal is in need. And we work on solutions that make a lasting difference: veterinary care, neutering and a safe place to heal.

03Together with Zanzibar Animal Care
Two organisations. One goal.
Zanzibar Animal Care (Zacare) is a local organisation founded and led by Makame. Zacare treats sick and injured animals, rescues strays and advocates for animal welfare.
Rescue Paws of Zanzibar is an independent initiative from Germany. We support Zacare, in building and today in running the shelter with an integrated veterinary clinic in Kidoti.
